Mental Health & Wellbeing

Mental Health and Wellbeing

At Broomfields Junior School, we strive to support our children; young people; families and our staff with their Mental Health and Wellbeing.
This is at the heart of our school and together we can support each other through the highs and lows we experience throughout our lives.
Whether you’re feeling great and want to stay that way; feeling a bit fed up; or struggling to manage your feelings, we have a variety of links to information and tips to support everyone!
If you would like to speak to a member of our Welfare Team then please do not hesitate to contact school.

Mental Health School Team (MHST)

We are currently working closely with the Mental Health Support Team service to promote the early detection and prevention of mental health problems for children across the whole school, and strengthen links between schools and mental health services.  Our lead practitioner, Rachel, provides direct interventions to pupils or parents supporting with mild to moderate mental health conditions, such as anxiety, low mood, phobias or behavioural difficulties.  Consulations with the service can also lead to referrals to local services, such as children and young people’s mental health services (also known as CAMHS)
